The full high chair is an excellent option for younger babies who are just learning to sit up and consume solids. Booster Seat: When your child gets a little older and doesn’t need to be reclined to eat anymore you can always choose to take the seat off of the stand and attach it to your dining room chairs. You can continue using the tray or you can remove it and allow your kid to eat at the table with you. Another nifty thing about using the booster seat is that you can simultaneously use the toddler chair for another kid. This high chair is an excellent option for parents with multiple children because not only is it cheap you can also use it for two kids at once.
Toddler Chair: The third way you can use this high chair is as a toddler chair. When the full high chair comes off the base remains and it looks like a seat with a three point harness. This is a good option for a toddler who can already sit up completely unassisted. You can easily push this toddler chair up to any hard surface for your kid to eat or play. Keeping this chair clean is a snap with a wet rag even though it doesn’t have a cover. The only downside is without the cushioned pad it won’t be comfortable for very long periods of use.
Dishwasher Safe Tray: Kids are quite messy little creatures and while it’s nice to be able to spot clean with a wash cloth sometimes the damage is so great you need to be able to throw it into the dishwasher. There are two trays, both can be removed from the chair and placed in the dishwasher.

You can take the entire tray off with one hand with the push of a button or you can take just the top layer off to clean it while your kid remains safely and snugly in their high chair. Machine Washable Seat: The Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 Ridgedale High Chair has a squishy soft pad that goes on the booster seat and full high chair. This pad is removable and can be thrown straight into your washing machine. It can also be spot cleaned with a wet rag. You could also use wet wipes to get rid of anything sticky your baby decided to leave.
Lockable Back Wheels: The trio comes with wheels so that you can move your child around with you as you cook and they eat their snacks or as you go about your day. But the back wheels also lock into place so that your child can’t push off the table and scoot backwards away from you.

Cheap Material: One of the primary cautions against the Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 Ridgedale High Chair is that it is made out of very cheap materials. While this can be a plus because it has kept the cost so reasonable it also means that your high chair may arrive with dented pieces. The dented and poorly constructed pieces makes the chair difficult to assemble and somewhat unstable which we’ll go into more below. It also makes the chair easier to scratch or dent and it shows wear pretty quickly.
Wobbly: Kind of going along with the fact that this high chair is made with cheap materials it tends to be a bit wobbly after is has been assembled. This won’t be an issue unless you have a wiggly kid or are worried that it will get knocked over. However it is a very real cause for concern since it would be devastating for your child to fall since they could easily be seriously injured. Another reason this chair feels wobbly is because it is on cheap wheels that don’t roll well. Though it locks into place it doesn’t have rubber feet which would make it much more steady.
Loose Harness: One of the nice things about the Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 Ridgedale High Chair is that it is fully equipped with a five point harness in the full high chair. This makes sure that your baby cannot escape or climb out which is awesome since they are so high up. However the harness tends to be very loose and insecure. It also can come undone from the back for cleaning which makes it easier for your baby to wriggle out of.
Does Not Fold: Though this feeding chair comes unassembled it does not fold at all once it has been assembled. This means that you can’t fold it up and store it in your pantry or closet when it isn’t in use. Since it takes up a lot of space when it is together you should make sure that you have plenty of room in your kitchen or dining room before committing to this high chair. Depending on how much space you have you may be better off getting a high chair or booster seat that takes up less space or breaks down easily.
Height Isn’t Adjustable: Another issue with the Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 Ridgedale High Chair is that the height doesn’t adjust at all. So if you like to have your kid in his or her high chair pulled up to the table that simply won’t work. However since you can remove the high chair and strap it onto any dining room chair this may not be a big issue.
Hard To Clean Hole: There’s a bit of a hole in this high chair near the base where your child’s legs separate and the harness connects that food can get trapped in. Whenever you have food trapped in anything that is difficult to clean out there’s always the possibility that it will start growing mold, attract rodents or bugs and become super nasty. However since you know about the issue you can now seal off this hole with putty or any other malleable substance so that no food gets trapped and becomes an issue.

My Overall Recommendation
The Ingenuity Trio 3-in-1 Ridgedale High Chair is a great affordable high chair that has many uses and convenient features. I am an 8 month pregnant mother to be and when I started researching this product I immediately decided to delete the high chair I had previously listed on my registry in favor of this one. I’m looking forward to getting and using this product with my son. I think that you really can’t beat the price.
