Three babies are hard enough without spending hours researching strollers; let us do the work for you so you can get back to living!
Take a look at the six best options on the market. Also, find out what’s missing on the market and what you really need.
The 6 Best Triple Strollers for Multiple Kids
The Foundations Trio is a costly, 4 star rated, 3 seat stroller that will not accommodate infant seats or allow your babies to lay down, yet it will fit 3 little ones once they can sit up without assistance. Also on the expensive side, the Foundations Quad is a 4.8 star rated stroller for 4, but if you have 3 children, the extra seat would come in handy for all the “extras.” Also expensive, the Joovy Caboose is rated 4.2 stars and seats 3 but not 3 infants. This stroller offers 2 forward facing seats as well as a rear bench seat/standing platform for an older toddler. The UPPAbaby VISTA is our priciest choice but is also an Amazon Choice product, rated well by customers who have purchased this stroller. This stroller is not for 3 triplets but it can be used for 3 children of multiple ages.
2020 Foundations Trio Sport Triple Tandem Stroller
The 2020 Foundations Trio Sport Triple Tandem Stroller is ready to go with three babies in tow. With this option, you get three seats built right into the stroller, perfect for three babies of the same age or of different ages. It comes with all the features you need and even a few bells and whistles.
Seating
All three of your babies sit facing forward in this stroller, but it has limits. You cannot use infant car seats in this stroller. Also, the seats do not lay flat and putting infants in may not be optimal.
Wait to use this stroller until your babies can sit upright on their own. Otherwise, you will need infant inserts and possibly rolled blankets to accommodate as this is designed for older babies or toddlers.
The seats are best for babies under forty pounds or forty inches or less. Babies under six months will not do as well in the stroller.
Next, each seat offers full five-point harnesses with different height settings, too. A safety bar in the front protects the baby in the front seat while the other seats protect the back.
Canopy
Each of the seats comes with a canopy. Moreover, each of the canopies is removable. However, they block out weather and UV rays.
Mesh windows on the back canopy help parents to see their babies a little easier.
Recline
All three seats recline slightly. However, to reduce space as the stroller is so long already, the seats do not offer a full recline. The front seat does come with a footrest for the baby, but it’s not adjustable.
Appearance
The car seat comes with a basic stroller design in black and gray. All three canopies and the legs come in bright lime green or red. Moreover, all of the fabrics are easily washable.
Handlebar
The handlebars are great because they come foam padded they are wide for comfort. More importantly, the brakes for the stroller are attached to the stroller for quick, easy braking. You will need to hold the brakes the entire time to keep them engaged, though, which can get uncomfortable.
Wheels & Suspension
With rubberized foam wheels, you get a stroller with shock-absorption for a comfortable stroll. The front offers two wheels on each side and another two wheels on the back for a total of six for better steering and weight management.
Storage
Parents only get a cup holder on the side for storage but the stroller offers room for a parent organizer on the handlebars. You also get an easy access storage basket underneath. An easy-access zipper pouch on the side allows you to reach the things you need quickly.
Folding
The stroller folds down easily for more compact storage. Folding is fairly easy but not as easy as a singleton stroller.
To unfold, stand at the front, pull the handle up and back until you hear the stroller click into place. Folding the stroller is similar. Push the brake lever into place, put all the seats into an upright position, and squeeze the retention bar on both sides. Push forward and fold together.
Child Craft Sport Multi-Child Triple Stroller
The Child Craft Sport Multi-Child Triple Stroller offers a through-the-door style stroller you can actually move around stores. It’s a basic stroller ready to get the job done however, it’s not perfect but functional. However, one aspect we love about this stroller is the additional support crotch fabric for the front seat.
Seating
Use this stroller for three babies. It can hold three children of the same age or of different ages as all the seats are the same size. Mind you, as with all triple tandem strollers, the baby in the front will get more legroom.
Furthermore, each seat provides five-point harnesses, but the straps do not have different lengths. Instead, they offer a stability strap at the top to keep the straps in place. Because of this, you may want to save this stroller for older babies who can sit up on their own unsupported.
However, the buckles on the harness are easy to adjust to the size of your baby and to unbuckle.
Make sure to stop using the stroller when your children weigh 40 pounds or 40 inches. Also, when the shoulder straps fall below your child’s shoulders, they are too big for the seat.
Finally, the front seat has a safety bar to help keep your child in the seat with the added fabric for safety. It also offers a footrest for the front seat only with extra comfort and security.
Canopy
All three seats come with their own canopy. The canopies provide protection from the sun but limited protection from rain and other elements due to the nature of triple strollers. Also, note that the canopies on this stroller are not removable and do not include mesh for visibility or ventilation.
Recline
The seats do recline to allow for more comfort for infants, but they do not allow for a lot of recline. Stadium seating makes it difficult to recline too much, or you risk crowding the other children.
Appearance
Get bright blue washable fabric with the Child Craft Trio Sport Stroller. While none of the fabric comes off for washing, it’s a vinyl type fabric easy to wash and maintain. Spills happen, as do messes, and clean up should be easy!
Handlebar
The handlebar offers steel padding along with a foam covering for comfort. Moreover, the brakes are reachable from the handle for ease, but you have to hold them in place.
Wheels & Suspension
Next, the wheels are rubber to absorb shock. Up front, you get a total of six wheels with two in the back. All this helps to increase maneuverability and absorb shock.
Storage
The stroller does not include any parent storage but comes with a large storage basket underneath. Add on a parent organizer to hold your keys, water bottle, or anything else you need. Stroller hooks would make it easy to hold a purse or diaper bag.
Folding
Folding and unfolding the stroller is straight forward and easy. It folds down quickly for easy travel and storage. Despite the large size, it takes just a moment to get the stroller down to a managed folded size.
Foundations Quad Sport 4-Passenger Folding Stroller with Canopy
Although the Foundations Quad Sport 4-Passenger Folding Stroller with Canopy is ready to hold four babies or toddlers, it can certainly work for triplets or three singletons. Just think, that spare spot can accommodate all the extra stuff you need to bring with you because of three children. This means you won’t have to try and shove everything under the seat and can have it close by for easy access.
Seating
The Foundation stroller offers four full seats with two rows of two. Each seat can support 40 pounds each and works for children ages three and under. Babies will love the seats, though, as they are very comfortable.
Each seat offers deep padding that is soft to the touch. Also, the seats come with standard 5-point harnesses that are soft to the touch. The harnesses are height adjustable with multiple positions for height.
Do note, the stroller seats do not work with car seats, which is pretty standard for strollers for multiples. However, the company has made marked efforts to consider the needs of both parents and babies by providing roomy, comfortable seats without sacrificing usability.
All the seats provide legroom and the front two offer footrests with stability bars. It also includes a large stability and safety bar in the front, too, for added comfort and protection.
Canopy
The Foundations Quad stroller offers a unique canopy. It’s a single canopy to work for all four seats. However, while it’s easier to use, it doesn’t provide a lot of adjustments per child. Also, the children in the front do not get near as much protection from the sun or harsh weather.
Lastly, the canopy has a single mesh panel accessible near the handlebar to help see your children. It’s covered with hook and loop closures, too.
Recline
All four seats do recline but do not recline enough to allow babies to lay flat. Also, there are not infant insertsto help younger babies fit in the more upright position. Unfortunately, some sacrifices have to be made to fit all the babies into a single stroller.
Appearance
Honestly, the stroller isn’t very attractive unless you like a retro utilitarian look. It’s not made to be pretty, but to make life easier with multiples. However, it doesn’t border on ugly, but more on making it easy to care for with wipeable fabrics and simple patterns and color schemes.
Some of the color options are more attractive than others but do not choose this option if you want the look that comes with luxury fabric and a modern design.
Handlebar
The handlebar is ergonomic and comfortable, with comfortable padding on top for easier pushing. Also, the handbrake is easily reached from the handle for easier access to stopping the stroller.
Wheels & Suspension
One great feature of this stroller is it offers strong, heavy-duty wheels. They are made of rubber to conduct shock and have foam inside to help as well. No worries about flats with these tires.
Storage
Underneath the four sets is a large storage container, but it’s not very deep and will not hold a diaper bag. You can stuff individual items in there, though. That’s why this four-seater is great for triplets, as the fourth seat doesn’t take up any extra space but provides added storage room.
Folding
Lastly, this stroller folds down to a fraction of ti’s size in just a few easy moves. Once folded, the stroller fits far more compactly into your home or trunk. However, the stroller is heavy – 55 pounds – which does reduce how easy it is to fold and move into a vehicle.
Joovy Big Caboose Graphite Triple Stroller
The Joovy Big Caboose Graphite Triple Stroller definitely holds three children, however, it’s for parents with children of different ages. If you have triplets, this stroller will not work for you. Parents of three kids, though, will probably find this to be the best stroller ever. Moreover, the stroller fits through doorways and even in aisles at stores.
Seating
One fabulous option with this stroller is it can accommodate car seats for two infants. If you have twins and an older child, definitely consider this option first. This means the stroller is ready to work from birth and make two newborns a little easier to move around.
Next, the seats work in multiple ways with a modular design. No matter which way you choose, your oldest child goes in the back. They can either stand or sit comfortably on a bench, but it is dependent on the configuration of the two other babies’ seating situation.
Also, the seats come with a footrest for all three kids, and for the two in the front, they get plenty of legroom along with a height-adjustable harness.
Furthermore, the front and middle seats can support forty pounds while the rear can support 45. The included seats should not be used until your baby is six months old, which is fine as you can use the car seats.
Canopy
The two main front seats for the younger children get multiple position canopies. However, these canopies aren’t as wide as we would like to see. The front one is also smaller, with just two panels instead of three, like the back option to help protect the older child from the sun, too.
Recline
While your preschooler in the back cannot recline, both children in the front have options to recline. Do keep in mind the baby in the back in the full recline position can cause discomfort to the child in the far back, and they may want to stand.
Appearance
The stroller comes in two colors – black or teal. Both a sleek and minimalist in nature and perfect for traveling. It’s a gorgeous modern stroller ready to look good anywhere with high-quality fabric and a heavy-duty frame.
Handlebar
The handlebar is very simple and comes with padding. One thing we don’t love about the stroller is if the older child is standing, you may have difficulty as the parent maneuvering the stroller from the handlebar as it’s not ergonomically shaped or bent for extra comfort. Also, it’s not height adjustable either, which would be a nice touch for different height parents.
Wheels & Suspension
Get full 4-wheel suspension for a smooth drive, even with three kids on board. Fewer bumps mean your kids will stay asleep while you go about your errands and shopping. All this and the brakes are secure right there where you need them by your feet.
Storage
Glorious storage! The basket underneath this stroller is not only easier to reach but longer, too. While it’s not extra deep, it’s so much more accessible. Moreover, the toddlers get snack tracks built-in with cupholders. You don’t see this in many strollers, no ma’am.
You should know, though, that the oldest child in the back will not get any personal storage, but that’s fine as they are more capable of holding their stuff. Also, you can put it in the basket for easy access for them.
It even has a bulk-free, washable parent organizer that even folds down with the stroller.
Folding
Simply pull the trigger on each side of the 32.3 pounds Big Caboose, and it folds down to a manageable size. You don’t even need to remove the third seat!
Uppababy Vista V2
Choose the Uppababy Vista V2 If you want a modular stroller with tons of options and accessories. Mind you, this option will not work for triplets but will for three children. It’s a great option for twins and a preschool-aged child.
How many different modular choices do you have with this stroller? Dozens. This does depend on what you buy to go along with the stroller. This option includes a toddler seat and bumper bar, bassinet, frame, wheels, bug, and rain shield for the toddler seat and the bassinet, along with a storage bag for the bassinet.
Mind you, it will cost a small fortune, especially if you add on accessories. It’s so worth it, though, for all you get in return. Let’s take a look.
Seating
If you have twins, use two Mesa car seats or you can use the toddler seats. You can even use two bassinets or use the stroller for a single child. If you need, add on the Piggyback board for older children.
The options are endless for this stroller as it’s ready to customize to your needs. Let’s hope at some point, Uppababy decides to make a stroller as amazing as this option!
No matter which option you choose, you can be sure it will be exceptionally comfortable, safe, and work perfectly with the frame. Although, you will need car seat adapters for the car seats. The older child riding along will not work well if you are using both bassinets, which is definitely something to consider.
See more of the best double stroller options and consider adding a glider board for an older child!
Canopy
All of the options with the Vista V2 include a high-quality canopy to keep your baby protected from sun and weather. Some of the options even include a zippered canopy to extend the protection it provides. There is no canopy available for older children on the piggy-back board.
However, the canopy slides to accommodate growing children, which is a remarkable feature to find in a stroller.
Recline
The bassinets don’t recline, but that’s because they are already flat! The toddler seats offer multiple recline positions to offer your baby extreme comfort.
Appearance
No other stroller offers quite as modern or sleek of a design. To put it simply, this stroller is a thing of beauty! From lux fabrics to a high-quality frame, this stroller speaks of high-class.
Handlebar
One feature you will absolutely love about this stroller is the telescoping leather handlebar. Not only is it gorgeous, but it’s comfortable, too. Change it to any height you need for different parents.
The only complaint about the handlebar is with all three kids on board, you may have problems reaching the handlebars if you have short arms.
Wheels & Suspension
Get full-on shock-absorption with all-wheel drive suspension. With independent shocks, you are guaranteed a smooth and comfy ride no matter how bumpy the road so your baby can stay asleep.
Storage
Get an extra-large basket with extremely easy-access to keep your diaper bag and more. However, a parent organizer is an additional cost.
Folding
Are you looking for a stroller that stands when folded? Then you found it. But it will not stand with the attachments, which is about the only downfall of this stroller. You will need to take off the bassinets or extra seats before folding.
Folding is a very quick and easy process once you get the extra seats off, which is also easy. Also, the toddler seat doesn’t include a toddler tray, and there isn’t an option to add one.
The Trio+ (Zoe XL3) – Best Triple Stroller
The Trio+ (Zoe XL3) – Best Triple Stroller is an amazing baby stroller ready to function with incredible ease and make your life easier. It’s fairly expensive but not over the top, in fairness, especially considering all that it offers. Give yourself and your babies the best possible comfort on the go with this incredible stroller.
One astounding aspect of the stroller is it only weighs 30 pounds! Many singleton strollers weigh very close to the same weight as this impressive stroller. Also, it’s Disney approved because the stroller measures just 29 inches wide. It can even fit through doorways!
Seating
With this option, you get three seats, but they aren’t tandem or stadium but more like a double umbrella stroller with a second seat in the front. Babies get optimal comfort with a fully comfortable seat, including a footrest and tons of space for each individual.
Each stroller seat can support up to 45 pounds and works wonderfully for newborns and up. However, the stroller does not include infant support, so you will need to purchase those separately times three!
What’s truly unique about this stroller is you can take the front stroller attachment off and use the double by itself. However, the single stroller section isn’t useable on its own. If you have another adult available to push and another stroller, you can divvy up the duties.
Next, the seats each includes a removable padded harness strap covers on the five-point harnesses. Of course, these are adjustable, but the seats do not have extra slots for height but still provides extra security.
Canopy
All three seats get their own canopy. Not just any canopy either, each gets zippered canopies they can adjust to reduce sunlight. Also, each also has a mesh flap to view their baby without making direct eye contact or for ventilation.
Moreover, each canopy works independently for individual children for unique customizations.
Recline
Furthermore, each individual seat reclines far more than any other triple stroller. As a matter of fact, these reclines work independently, just like a single stroller! If one baby is awake, sit them up while the others sleep fully reclined.
Babies can easily take a full-on nap in this stroller with complete comfort. However, the front seat has slightly less recline than the back seats, which offer 150, while the front offers 135. Still, very comfortable, but you may want to put your most awake child in the front.
Appearance
You know those gorgeous modern strollers you see cruising around the park? This is one of them. It’s beautiful! Pick from three different neutral colors, including black, gray, and navy blue, all in luxurious fabrics.
No cheap design or fabric, but remember, pretty fabric does require a little more work for maintenance. The rest of the stroller offers a sleek design ready to impress everyone, even the pickiest people.
Handlebar
Parents get a cushy foam covered handlebar that’s practically perfect. It doesn’t include a parent tray but you can purchase one separately. However, it does come with a cup holder off to the side.
The brakes aren’t on the handle either and instead work below for easy foot action.
Wheels & Suspension
It comes with ball bearings and rubber wheels for smooth driving and shock absorption.
Storage
For storage, you get mesh baskets under each seat. Also, you get one child snack cup, 2 child cup holders, and 1 parent cup holder. Furthermore, you both the single and double belly bar that serves to connect the seats and act as a safety bar, too.
Folding
Folding is a breeze as the stroller keeps the folding mechanism under each seat. It will fold up compactly with the front section separate from the rest for more options to put the stroller in the car. The lightweight makes it easy to transport, too.

Buying Criteria for Triple Strollers
Before you buy, consider your needs first to make sure you get the right choice.
Number and Type of Seats
First, you need to figure out how many kids you will have in the stroller, their sizes, and for how long. For instance, if you have twins on the way and a four-year-old, chances are strong you won’t need a full three child stroller, but a piggyback-board will definitely help. Other parents have triplets on the way, and a dedicated stroller is a necessity.
Stroller Design
Second, the next choice you need to make is what type of stroller do you need. Should you get an in-line stroller with all three children lined up like ducks, or would a two by two work better for your needs. Both are perfectly viable choices, but they will not work the same for every family. Also, consider where you plan to use the stroller most before deciding which type to pick. In-line options work best for indoors, while tandems tend to work better outside.
Stroller Weight
Another major consideration is weight. Not just how much your children weigh but also of the stroller, too. The more combined weight, the more effort you will need to exert to push the stroller. Consider a lightweight stroller if you want to avoid pushing to the point of sweating especially if you live in a relatively flat location.
FAQs About Triple Strollers
Are there any triple strollers that work with car seats?
The only one available is the Peg Perego Triplette Piroet Stroller. However, it’s often completely out of stock or production. Also, each part is sold separately, making this extremely expensive and out of most people’s price range.
Where can I find more triple strollers?
You can find other triple strollers online. However, they usually are from smaller companies with less reputable names. Some of the options we love are simply not available right now or discontinued, such as the Bebelove Triple Jogging Stroller, Valco Baby Tri Mode Duo, or the Maclaren Triple Stroller. Hopefully, production for these products will start soon, or new options will come on the market so we can add them to the list!
Are there any triple jogging strollers available?
It would seem demand for triple jogging strollers has decreased because the supply for these is non-existent. Hopefully, companies will offer options soon. You can always write to your favorite company and ask for a triple jogging stroller in an effort to get the ball rolling on production.
