It is a little confusing to use at first, but once that’s mastered it’s great. I like how it doesn’t fold my som in half so it therefor doesn’t put a lot of pressure on his tummy. I recommend this swing!

Hey there!

So I wish I had a great answer for you. I actually owned this seat, and I had issues with it for a long time.

I can vouch for the fact that the manual isn’t very helpful unless you are assembling it or you want to know what the buttons do. That being said, here’s my advice for when it isn’t swinging right:
1. Call the customer support people from Kids2, the manufacturer (1-800-230-8190). They probably know a trick or two and they could save you a lot of time and heartache!
2. Change the batteries. Sounds simple, I know, but it has worked many times for us.
3. Adjust the weight distribution. Make sure that baby’s bottom is as far down as it can go. If there’s too much weight up top, it won’t swing right.

I hope this helps! If you reach the end of your rope with this swing like we did, check out this list of better options: https://www.experiencedmommy.com/best-baby-rockers/. We bought the Graco DuetSoothe and we absolutely love it!

I am having issues with my swing and was hoping that you might be able to help. I believe it boils down to an alignment issue, but I’m not sure how to realign it. How do you realign it?

Thanks in advance!

Hey!

I’m no engineer, but I am a mom that has owned this seat. And although this swing relies on the simple science of magnets and gravity, there are more things that can go wrong.

The magnets themselves won’t keep the swing moving without the motor and timer working. And the motor doesn’t do much if the magnets are misaligned and not working or if the sensors are dirty or misaligned (which happens frequently). Neither the magnets nor the motor are very strong. And, to top it all off, you need batteries. Constantly.

My new baby swing has just a motor, no magnets, and it has given us far fewer headaches than this swing with the Hybridrive Tech. Gravity is always reliable, but so is a good, strong motor with no fussy sensors or weak magnets.

And let’s not get started on the timer or the vibrating mechanism… both of which broke for me after a few month of use.

This seat is inexpensive for a reason! It’s great for having at a grandparent’s house, for occasional use, or using for only one child, but it has no longevity.

Whether my disappointment is due to the genius-but-flawed technology or perhaps poor manufacturing, I’ll never know. In any case, I’d stay away from this swing if you will use it often and want to save it for another child.

I’m guessing the reviewer is not an engineer. Gravity is 100% reliable. The magnet provides a simple pulse to keep momentum going. No motor. No. Moving. Parts. There is no electric motor on the planet that is more reliable than that.

Hi!

So it’s a bummer, but according to everything I’ve found, you can’t adjust the recline. I think the original reviewer thought that you could unscrew the frame and screw it in in a different position, but that’s not true. Maybe it was true for an older model of the ConvertMe Swing?

So sorry for the confusion. We’ve updated the article to accurately reflect the recline. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
