Hey there!

I was curious too, so I reached out to Halo and this is what they said:

“The DreamNest has been discontinued, however, there are no safety issues or recalls whatsoever on the DreamNest. The DreamNest was discontinued simply to make room for new products. The DreamNest is still a great and safe product for babies and parents!”

So no worries about using this! You and baby can both sleep soundly!

Was this item recalled? Is there a reason why Halo is discontinuing it? I’m having a hard time finding details but it seems to have great reviews and all around functional use.

Hey there!

I think you made a great purchase choice. HALO is known for their safe sleeping gear, and this pack and play has a ton of amazing safety features.

I’m no sleep expert, so I can’t tell you if this would be totally safe for full time sleeping or not. Here’s what you should consider:
– What the manual says about using it full time (a lot of products intended for naps/short sleeping periods only will state that in the manual)
– The materials and structure and if they pose any risk during a long sleeping period
– Safe sleep recommendations from the AAP (this is a helpful video: https://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/baby/sleep/Pages/Safe-Sleep-for– Babies.aspx)
– Product safety certifications, like JPMA
– What you feel comfortable doing!

I know that both my kiddos slept on and off in their pack and play for the first few months because it was easy to set up right next to our bed. Sometimes we used it for just naps, sometimes at night, sometimes both, and a lot of times neither!

I did what felt safest and best for me and my family. And I followed all the warnings and rules in the owner’s manual for my pack and play.

Congratulations on your baby girl! What an amazing blessing!

We got this as an all-around crib for where our baby girl will be sleeping full-time, not just naps here and there. What are your thoughts on that with this crib? I’m very much a safety fanatic and tend to worry WAY too much so this seemed like the best option for safe sleeping. I’m 27 weeks pregnant right now, and it just set in how real this is and that this will be her crib. I’d love to hear your input on this as a full time crib because it definitely seems to be advertised as one where the more traditional pack and plays are not. Thank you so much! Blessings in Christ, Em
