It applies to certain models of the Keyfit 30 made for the Canadian market through May 31, 2018 for which there is a kit to fix. It doesn’t seem to apply to any car seat made for the US market or any other Chicco car seats. As far as I can tell, Chicco products continue to be sold in many places in Canada. They have consistently been identified as safe and user-friendly car seats over the years. Of course, as the recall implies, every individual product is different and subject to independent evaluation.
