Katie Kim Scott is an Emmy Award winning investigative reporter and television news anchor. As a broadcast journalist, she researched and covered everything from education to corruption, local natural disasters to the World Series and Winter Olympics for major networks. Her more than decade-long career took her all over the country — from the Southwest to the Midwest. She’s lived in every time zone in the continental US!
Her best assignment by far has been becoming a mother. She left her TV news job to spend more time with her daughter. Katie approaches parenting with the same innate curiosity and thorough research as she did as a journalist. She is grateful to share what she has learned with fellow moms and readers at Experienced Mommy.
Katie is passionate about children and helping others. In her spare time, she volunteered as a bedside infant cuddler at hospitals in Albuquerque, NM and Chicago, IL. Katie has also served in the children’s ministries at churches she has attended.
Katie lives in Southern California with her husband, toddler daughter and Goldendoodle pup. She is expecting a baby boy to join her family in July 2021!
