Maya Gosztyla is a science writer and editor. She holds a B.S. degree from Ohio State University in Neuroscience and Molecular Genetics, summa cum laude.
Maya is currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of California San Diego.
As she pursues her PhD she is working as a PhD Student Researcher performing research for the development of RNA-targeting therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders.
Among her many interests, Maya is passionate about promoting social awareness of Alzheimer’s.
She is a recipient of a NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and a Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation Predoctoral Research Fellowship Awardee.
