Dr. Jennifer Trent is a board certified dermatologist and medical writer, who is sharing her years of experience and clinical research with readers at Experienced Mommy.
Dr. Trent has a gift of taking complicated medical topics and terms and explaining them to moms in a way that we can understand. She has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and various dermatologic textbooks on surgery and wound care. Dr. Trent also co-authored the 2005 book, Dermatologic Therapeutics: A Pocket Guide.
In addition to her extensive writing background, Dr. Trent is a practicing medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatologist in Sarasota, FL.
Dr. Trent completed her undergraduate, medical school and residency training at the University of Miami.
She is currently the Medical Director of American Dermatology Associates Inc. and a voluntary Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami.
In her free time, Dr. Trent enjoys boating, working out, traveling and spending time with her dogs.
